"Often, Cheerleading is overlooked as a sport in the athletic community. Many people don’t recognize the athleticism, commitment, and pride that cheerleaders have. However, PrepZone has fundamentally helped in creating awareness and support of cheerleading at Staples High School.  PrepZone is always sure to include Staples Cheerleading on their Instagram, in the podcasts, in Student Athlete of the Week nominations, and so much more. PrepZone has taken the time to highlight cheerleading in both fall and winter seasons on the sidelines, and during our competition season in the winter as well, which before his coverage, many students were not aware of! The tremendous impact the PrepZone coverage has had on our team’s culture, their belief in themselves, their feeling of inclusion, etc., is more significant for these specific athletes than a trophy.  As cheerleaders, we take pride in being “spirit ambassadors” for our school, and PrepZone has successfully helped us send that message to the community. This is all thanks to PrepZone, a high school sports coverage account that is able to see all sports, all the time. From my experience of PrepZone, I know the care that goes behind all of the hard work. Whether it’s traveling to away games, staying up late at night to finish a post-game report or making the time to film podcasts, PrepZone cares about getting Staples sports the coverage they deserve. As an athlete who has been both on a podcast and in multiple post-game interviews, I can attest that PrepZone makes sure to ask purposeful and meaningful questions to the athletes to conduct the best possible interview for both parties. He also sees ALL sports, which allows deserving athletes that may not receive media coverage, have the opportunity to be interviewed and watch highlights of their athletic achievements. "PrepZone has become such an integral part of the Staples community and has opened many conversations about sports. Not only is Staples Athletics one of the most successful athletics programs in the state, but our athletic culture allows us to connect with each other. “PrepZone” has become an everyday term used by parents, teachers, staff, coaches, and students. Friends from all over the country have sent me PrepZone coverage on Instagram. PrepZone means a lot to all of Staples Athletics, but especially the Staples Field Hockey team. Going into my fourth and final season with the Staples Field Hockey program, there has been a tremendous growth in fans and traction our team gets. PrepZone is the only program to cover Staples Field Hockey. Staples Field Hockey has won 5 state championships since 2016 and recently, PrepZone helped us gain community recognition and awareness. They come to come to our games, interview us, make edits, do podcasts, and make us highlight videos. These posts not only help us feel recognized, but it also shows the importance of girls sports. Often, girls sports don’t gain the attention they deserve, but PrepZone's conscious effort to showcase all sports has made a substantial impact on our sport and community.
